WAI Conference

the conference was AMAZING. straight up. the fantasy of flight museum was heavenly. got to ride in an open cockpit bi-plane. incredible. met so many people- mary, the pilot for Delta, in their information video. patti wagstaff and julie clark- both are aerobatic pilots. talked to people at skywest, delta, members of the WASP, every airline. learned about the air force reserve- very tempting. when i graduate. met kids from other aviation schools. jessie and scotty from oklahoma state. and david [ :) ] and aaron from minnesota state. i went to the jetblue training facility and got a tour and saw their full motion simluators. got sooo many, i mean so many, souveneirs. just got things from every booth. stayed at the most perfect hotel, disney thinks of everything. i networked and just learned so much. gave out my business cards. sat by david on the bus, he came and said bye to me, we've talked all week. i went to downtown disney, so much fun. the lego store was so cool. my eyes were really opened up to the possibilities in the aviation industry. there are so many jobs i never knew about. we got published in the daily newsletter for the conference. we got interviewed by the air force publicity people and are going to be in their video. it was just really cool to be in a place with so many people focused on aviation, all interested in the same thing as me. it was cool to see all the women who were succesful in their career. we also got lots of info on pilots who married pilots. it's inevitable, i'm gonna have to marry a pilot. we had some good food. and the best part was everything was paid for. we have to do a presentation to the dean thanking him for sponsoring us and we also have to the presentation to nolan's [head of aviation] class. the trip was worth missing 4 days of school, times one hundred. it was the perfect trip. there was aviation, new friends, a cute boy, a great hotel, and learning. it seriously was so great and i was basically depressed when i had to come home. i could have stayed there forever. it was really good getting to know kizna and hollie, we stayed up late talking every night and just had such a great time. the lake. so obsessed.
