my magnificent obsessions.

  1. harry potter. i don't know what it is about hp, but ever since the first book 10 years ago, it's stuck with me. i've been with harry, hermione and ron since the beginning. i've read each book countless times, i've seen each movie, i've dressed up like them for halloween, i have harry potter souveniers littered across my room. i feel like i am a part of them, like i know each character personally. call me crazy but i've always liked fantasy better than reality. and i know hp will be with me forever.
  2. flying. and just aviation in general. i can't get enough of it. whether it's my single-prop 4 seater [383 ps, my girl!] or a CRJ900, up to a 757, or just sitting [or sleeping] in an airport, the aviation magazines, the camraderie with the pilot club, the air shows we take trips to, the people you meet [or watch] the clouds, the sunsets from the sky, the experiences, visiting different places [for 12 hours or 2 days!] the women in aviation conference, sitting at the little airport in logan just listening to radio calls and talking to good friends, people thinking it's so cool that i'm a girl pilot, having this bond with my dad and grandpa. whatever it is, it never gets old.
  3. soccer. probably 77% of my life for the last 15 years has been soccer. indoor, outdoor, pick up games, competition, coaching, watching games on tv, messing around in the house, we've even played soccer in the airport. soccer was what got me to be such good friends with the weiss family. i love it all. no matter what kind of soccer, whether it be playing, coaching or watching it's such a great game. your team becomes your family and then the good times roll.
  4. quotes. i have a few journals just packed with quotes. there is a quote for everything, for every situation and moment. they just put things into words that i never could. sometimes when i read a quote i just feel like it was written for me. they're insipiring and motivating or funny and they just fit."the purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."
  5. photos. i never leave home without a camera. i have about a million pictures on my computer. i have scrapbooks. i want a picture of everything. my dream is to have a photographer just follow me around and snap kandid pictures. i love the artsy stuff and i love to look at and take pictures. there's this website [wehearit] and i spend hours on there looking at pictures and i'm in love with them. there is a couple of hallways in the airport that has all this amazing pictures and i could look at them all day. i obsess over beautiful pictures.
  6. sunsets and clouds. [either together or seperate] this may seem like a weird one, but i love sunsets. it's amazing that the sun can do that and it's so beautiful. and in salt lake, we get the most amazing sunsets. and they are ten times better when the clouds are just perfect. but i also love clouds. i always sit and stare at them in the middle of the day, when i'm driving or walking somewhere. they're incredible. they make pretty designs and just look really cool.

well there you have it, a few of my many obsessions. i tried real hard [but i can't write very well] to portray how much i love each of these things. when i am doing something that involves these things i get an overwhelming feeling of love. i'm struggling to describe it.

in a nut shell, i'm obsessed!

xoxo
