how come?

today i was talking to jake. jake works a lot. and texts me the whole time cause he gets bored. i'm his entertainment. side note...today at smiths some old lady ran her little scooter thing into a huge spices display, knocked the whole thing over, and jake had to put it all back. he said it took him a half hour! anyway...i told him i was sick and he said i couldn't die because then he wouldn't have any entertainment and we kept talking about it and he said "ok i will be worried about you till you are better though." and it was so cute! but it made me think....we're [well ali and kristina] are convinced he likes me. buut i don't like him that way. it just made me wonder why not? he's so nice to me and funny and took me bowling on friday, yet i don't think of him that way. another side note...ben. i just don't even know what to think about him anymore. i'm pretty sure i'm always gonna like him. but i'm beginning to start liking other guys now. hunter. is brian's friend. well my friend now too. and i'm starting to really like him. he drinks, but honestly (and people may think less of me for this) it doesn't bother me. ya i'd prefer that he didn't, but i'm not gonna hold it against him at all. and he is a great guy. i hung out at his dorm for 3 hours last week after class and i just laughed the whole time. and on friday he came to the basketball game with me instead of going to hang out with his other friends. and on saturday he texted me about the real game and asked me to go bowling with him, but i wasn't in logan... anyway. total tangent. kinda. but it all made me think of this quote:

and it's kind of extreme but it gets my point across. sometimes people just need to realize what they have instead of always wanting what they don't have. and this is a huge problem i have. i take the things i have for granted sometimes. ok anyway...being single is great and all but i'm kinda done with it right now. haha oh welllll

this weekend was so fun! friday night was the basketball game [and hunter was flirty!!] then me and ali went bowling with daniel jake and brian. sooo funny! we got in trouble for bowling 2 balls at once. saturday was soccer...which was alright. we were all just so tired. when soccer was done we showered quick and kristina, ali and i drove home. we dropped ali off and me and kristina sat and played the wii and ps3 foreverrr. so funny. we were playing this random duck game and it was quite the event watching kristina play! love that girl! but then it was off to five guys for dinner! boy were we squished. so many girls! after eating a delicious hamburger we went to the real soccer game! the new stadium is so sweet! and it was such a good game! sad...but good! it was the first time real has been to the finals. we played new york and had so many chances to score. we had possesion the entire game and hit the post 4 times! i swear it is statistically impossible to shoot that many times and not get a goal. but it was intense. we had so much fun yelling at the ref and cheering! it was such a fun game to be at. the atmosphere was great...nonstop cheering and people kept throwing streamers at the new york goalie. after the game we went and played rock band with our "rock faces on!" ali went home and we ate shakes and watched footloose. sunday we went on a motorcycle ride up emigration canyon. great fun. i miss babs mucho. after the ride we went to moss ledge and hiked up to the waterfall. came home and ate some hamburgers and had cream soda floats which are so good! we jumped on the tramp and watched kicking and screaming. then me and kristina drove home! i don't like sleeping in our room alone! haha anyway...i was soo osoo glad kristina stayed with me. me and her have so much in common, even our families are a lot a like. at first she didn't know how to respond to my family, but as time went on she fit in just right! the drive home was so nice, we didn't even listen to music for most of it! we just chatted the whole time. about everything. she says when she pictures me married she sees me with ben... but it was a good drive and a nice heart to heart. i have class with hunter tomorrow! and i get to see christine soon!!
