spuds...my dad gave this one to me when i was a little kid. there was a famous dog named spuds mckenzie so it just kinda stuck. it's kinda funny since this dog was an advertisement for bud light i believe.
phillip...this really only stuck with christine through high school. i was filling out this form for dc and it asked what i prefered to be called and i asked my dad and he was making fun of me for asking and then was like put phillip, who cares! haha so then we named christine frank and frank and phillip were the dynamic duo.
max...only a really good friend calls me this. we were sitting at my favorite spot in the mountains and he was like...okay mckenzie is too long can i call you...and he started naming all these different things and i kept saying no. how about mac? no! okay how about max? sure. and it stuck. i actually really like this one, and wish it would catch on with more people. one of my favs for sure.
kenzie, kenz, mckenz...these are pretty obvious and the most used. it's weird, i can think of everyone i have an interaction with and which one of these variations they use. i think kenz is the most common. and when people call me my full name, i find it unsettling, like i'm in trouble or something.
mcgritty...this came from an eventful sophomore year of college. my roommates and i called ourselves the martinelli girls (looong story) and so then jo-flo thought of names for all of us. too great.
ds...i can't tell you what this stands for cause it's an inside joke with my girl baby j (aka dw) but let's just say it included a late night work out sesh and spying through the windows. and the quote "at least i get paid!"
