girls camp

this last week was girls camp. and normally i am way excited to go to camp. we have so much fun and the spirit is always there. but this year i was more or less, not excited. for one, i'm not a young women anymore. and then rosie and ali, pretty much my only friends going, would be together with their wards and they were in charge of little girls so they couldn't leave very often. so i wouldn't have many friends and they would be together the whole time. but nonetheless, i packed and headed up their with my sister and her friend, who is pretty much my sister. the first day at camp we did arts and crafts. my favorite, i'm so creative. sike. although we did do tye-die and it was way fun and the shirts were so cute. and we made mailboxes which is always cool cause then you get letters! and apparently my new name is jack! it goes along with quincy arnold and dave. i can't even remember what went down after crafts.. hung out at our ward. me savanna and ambryn made the most genius camp. we set up our hammocks and then had a tarp over them so we wouldn't get rained on and it was so sweet. we had tinfoil dinners and it was yummmmy! and s'mores. love them. could eat them all day. but we have lots of devotionals as a stake and they are pretty fun. i love singing camp songs, as long as you get into them, it's fun.

wednesday we went on this hike and me and rosie led the short hike cause no one else knew! it was sweet. we were leaders! and the hike was fun. we just talked the whole time cause we're good at that. we hiked back down and went to the lake which is my favorite part of camp, cause secretly i'm a fish. me, rosie, savanna and arnold went out in a canoe and it took forever cause rosie is weak and had an oar. :) so we got close and of course, i tipped us over! it was great! then fern got there and i couldn't be happier! she completes me! buuuut we swam and ate and headed back to camp. dinner was delicious hamburgers and more smores! the skits were so so funny. annie is hilarious. both annies. we pulled some pranks, sprayed some silly string and got in trouble because people are grouchy. we put a fake racoon in the bathroom and girls got so freaked out!

thursday was the best day. it was way chill. we did some service, sanded and painted some blocks for orphans. then we were free to do what we wanted. a bunch of girls camp to our party camp and we painted nails. my nails are neon orange and my toes are neon pink! so cool. and i made a billion bracelets that are so cool. me and fern made utah state ones! ya! then we had yummy dinner. more singing. my fav. and a testimony meeting. you could really feel the spirit. we pulled some more pranks with mom heading the group and got in some more trouble the next morning. but all in all, camp was better than i was expecting.

on saturday i went to nick's and swam with him tyler, ben, and jeff. i ended up playing games with his sister elizabeth and chloe in the pool which was so fun. i love little kids.

but last night something happened that made me realize that even if a really good friend does something rude and makes you made, you still need to forgive them. this just happened, and i think i am a really forgiving person, but i've missed this girl. and she needs me now. and i'm there for her. no matter what she says. cause i understand. and i love her and we have been friends for so long and shes going away soon and i need her.

i'm super stoked for tomorrow. i believe we're watching batman begins because i have never seen it. baking a cake and headed to the airport. then going to see dark knight and i'm way super excited. it should be a good day. and the secret life is on tuesday. i'm addicted.
